While on vacation, most people visit Acadia and Mount Desert Island to enjoy its stunning scenery rather than get an intense workout. E-bikes provide the perfect balance – you’ll still pedal like a regular bike, but the electric motor assists your pedaling, especially on hills. This makes the experience much more enjoyable and accessible.
You need the same balance and coordination as riding a regular bike, but you don’t need to be an athlete to cover Acadia’s scenic terrain. Many of our riders are in their 70s and enjoy comfortable, safe rides on our step-through e-bikes. The motor assistance lets you choose how much effort you want to put in, making the experience adaptable to different fitness levels.
If you have any concerns about your ability to ride, please contact us to discuss. We’re happy to answer questions and help determine if an e-bike tour is right for you.
